When you let go, you've already won.
So, let go of the things that weight you down, the negative thoughts that keep you up at night, stress induced factors, and people who don't bring you any joy. Don't even think about bringing that into your New Year. This is the ideal time to start putting together a vision board. Make sure to list out your personal goals and your expectations - not just from others but also for yourself.
If there's one thing that 2020 taught me is that you don't have any control of anything else but yourself. You are in control of your mind, thoughts, actions, words, and the way you respond to things.
This past year was a test from God. A test that I thought I could win and befriend. I'm a very stubborn individual but I'm also a rational one. And when I finally processed everything that happened in 2020 I realized I'm done with all of this superfluous hostility. There is no point to any of it. So, I'm letting go and I'm letting God do what he does best - take care of it, take care of me.
That's how I'm starting my New Year - freed from all of it. I want to be surrounded with people who want to see me succeed and prosper - those who wish me well, without actually having to say it. It’s all about growth, love, respect, and radiating positivity. My focus will solemnly be on my family, friends, my health, my career, graduate school, and my three cats. This is your time to revaluate your life choices and press on. Good luck!
Happy New Year!
