Update on my new job and self I suppose.
I'll get straight to it, I'm fucken beat already. I have only been there for two days and I'm already over whelmed. They know I have a lot on my plate so they offered to buy me lunch and I accepted of course. A content soul begins with a full stomach. The only unfortunate prospect is the drive. It took me an hour and five minutes to get there today and an hour to get home. I'm not use to this. Previously, my daily route was thirty minutes top. Either I get a costumed to this time frame or I find another job. I have been filing non stop. I've been on a filing rampage. Shuffling papers all over the place. Alphabetizing and coding. Making new folders. Arranging them numerically. By location. By months. Attaching endless check stubs. Checking off random shit. Scanning and copying. Moving files to different locations in the system. Then deleting them. I could go on and on with these tasks. AND IT'S ONLY DAY TWO. Seriously, I don't blame my boss for firing the previous assistant. She must have been completely illiterate because everything is all over the place. She couldn't differ I from Y. Shit is fucken ridiculous. I'm going to close my eyes for a few minutes and then wooo-saaah for several minutes more. Then I'm going to work out hard core and release some of this tension. Shower followed by some reading. And then I'll be ready to do this shit all over again tomorrow. Oh oh. The only thing good out of tomorrow will be my afternoon reward for dedication and hard work Ha ha. Who am I kidding, my bosses have no idea who Lauryn Hill is. I've been so wrapped up with my work lingo I completely forgot about Ms. Hill. I will be sipping on a very well deserved crown & coke tomorrow night with one of my best friends. It's going to be one hell of a night. Botcho mentioned that Ms. Hill doesn't PUT ON on stage. In tonight's direct talk with God (prayer) I'm going to mention Ms. Hill and her performance. I hope she steps it up a notch, drinks enough water, gets plenty of sleep, and then rocks the mike tomorrow night. Lets all add that to our prayers tonight shall we? Peace.
